Our policies assist you in managing British Land developments and provide you and our supply chain with the tools to deliver sustainability throughout our developments.
These documents enable us to deliver our sustainability strategy which is built around four focus areas of Wellbeing, Community, Futureproofing and Skills and Opportunity, which address major social, economic and environmental trends to create value for our stakeholders and the wider society.
This guide and master list are to be used by the project team to encourage innovation, improve project sustainability and overall value via early engagement with the supply chain. It sets out manufacturers and suppliers that British Land have a relationship with, with an aim to bring standardisation of components across our assets.

This policy document sets out the commitment, the requirements and expectations of British Land with regards to the health and safety management of their construction projects and associated activities.

Aftercare is the term used for a set of strategies that seek to ensure the building occupants get full value from the premises, and the asset performs well for its owner/occupiers.
A project specific Soft Landings/Aftercare plan should be developed at Stage 1 and reviewed and signed off with the BL Sustainability Lead before moving on to Stage 2.

These overarching Employer’s Requirements are to be used on all projects working to the Sustainability Brief. They are in draft format allowing the project teams and sustainability consultants to adapt and incorporate project specific deliverables.
